The Institut de l'Engagement's mentoring programme can help you clarify your career plans and move them forward.

Going back to school, finding a job, an internship, a work-linked training scheme, setting up or developing your own business...

Under the mentoring scheme, you will be put in touch with a volunteer mentor, trained by the Institute, for 6 months, so that you can benefit from his or her support. This mentoring takes place remotely, for a minimum of 1 hour a month.

The programme is open all year round and just a few clicks away: you can sign up whenever you like!

The mentoring programme is for you if :

You are aged between 16 and 30
You have completed or are in the process of doing a Service Civique, volunteer work or voluntary service.
You are a national of France, a Member State of the European Union or the European Economic Area, or you have a valid residence permit.
You have a vague plan for the future and would like help to define it more precisely
Your project is well underway and you're looking for one last helping hand to make it a reality.

Every year, 1,100 young people involved in long-term volunteering receive support from a mentor to help them with their project.

Mentoring also means :

A dedicated team :

- To train mentors and match mentees with mentors

- To support pairs throughout their mentoring period

- To organise and run meeting and discussion forums

Meetings and exchanges:

- Monthly online discussions between mentees and mentors

- One-off face-to-face meetings and events

Resources :

- A catalogue of teaching sheets for mentors and mentees

- A monthly programme of workshops online to enhance your skills and knowledge

A quel moment commence le mentorat ?

Le programme mentorat est ouvert toute l’année, en continu, et accessible sur simple inscription. Tu peux donc t’y inscrire dès que tu en ressens le besoin !

How long do I have to wait to get a mentor?

En général, la mise en relation prend seulement quelques jours. Cela peut être un peu allongé en fonction du nombre de demandes, mais également de tes besoins et attentes.

Who are the Institute's mentors?

Nos mentors sont des bénévoles aux profils et parcours extrêmement variés : ils sont salariés, retraités, étudiants, anciens bénéficiaires de l’Institut, entrepreneurs… Ils bénéficient tous d’une formation par l’Institut avant de commencer le mentorat.

Our support programmes are completely free of charge.

Can I apply for the "laureates" programme if I have already benefited from the mentoring programme?
