Marion, winner of the Autumn Class of 2023, publishes her first book "Confluences

July 2021. Marion flies to Sudan to work on humanitarian issues and civil society at the French Embassy. There, she crosses paths with Salam, a Syrian refugee with a sunny disposition. Their meeting shifts her horizons and anchors her heart in Khartoum, where the two Nils meet. But on 15 April 2023, their paths diverge abruptly when a fratricidal war breaks out in the heart of the capital. Urgently evacuated to Djibouti as part of Operation Sagittaire, Marion tries to come to terms with the unspeakable. "I can see in your eyes an immense heartbreak", says the psychologist from the military contingent deployed on this occasion. Before adding, like a promise: "Have faith in life. Soul mates always find each other somewhere": https://www.amazon.fr/dp/2959944801
