L'Institute of Commitment, the’Jacques Delors Institute, the French representation of the European Commission and the European Parliament and Thibaut de Saint Pol, Delegate for Youth, Popular Education and Associative Life, brought together recipients of the Institut de l’Engagement for half a day to discuss the topic of’Europe and youth engagement.
The winners were able to visit the Europa Experience, an interactive exhibition about the European Union in the heart of Paris.
Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate for Europe, opened the Campus de l'Engagement alongside Pascal Lamy, coordinator of the Jacques Delors think tank network (Paris, Brussels, Berlin), Thibaut de Saint-Pol, Delegate for Youth, Popular Education and Associative Life, Quentin Jagorel, DG of the Institut de l'Engagement, Jessica Larsson, Deputy Head of the European Commission Representation in France, Head of the Policy Sector and Laila Wold, Head of Communications at the European Parliament Representation in France and Head of Europa Expérience.
To further the discussion and exchanges, Quentin Jagorel led a round table on the theme of « What place for youth engagement in the European PPP project, yesterday, today and tomorrow? » with Pascal Lamy, former European Commissioner, Aurélie Lapidus, former advisor to the Prime Minister on European affairs and Deputy Secretary-General for European and International Affairs, and Béatrice Angrand, former Secretary-General of the Franco-German Office for Youth (OFY).
