Campus de l'Engagement dedicated to working-class neighbourhoods and youth involvement

The Institut de l'Engagement and the towns of Gennevilliers and Colombes brought together Institut de l'Engagement winners and young people for a half-day event at the Théâtre de Gennevilliers.

Martin Hirsch, President of the Institut de l'Engagement, Patrice Leclerc, Mayor of Gennevilliers, Valentin Narbonnais, Deputy Mayor of Colombes in charge of Youth, Urban Culture and Secondary Education opened the event.

The winners were able to attend a round table discussion led by Quentin Jagorel on the theme of "Culture as a vehicle for commitment in working-class neighbourhoods", followed by a question and answer session.

With Lord EsperanzaUrban pop rapper and singer, Solenne du Haÿs Mascréco-founder and managing director of Paris Dance Project, Lucile DeschampsGeneral Delegate of the Culture and Diversity Foundation, Philippe MillerDirector of the Conservatoire de Gennevilliers.

To round off the day, workshops were organised to explore these issues even further:
- Neighbourhoods and commitment to ecology
- Attractiveness of the civil service in working-class neighbourhoods
- Raising awareness of social entrepreneurship among young people in working-class neighbourhoods
