The Institut de l'Engagement, the Institut Jacques Delors, the French Representation of the European Commission and the European Parliament and Thibaut de Saint Pol, Délégué à la jeunesse, à l'éducation populaire et à la vie associative, brought together laureates of the Institut de l'Engagement for a half-day discussion on Europe and the commitment of young people.
The winners were able to visit the Europa Experience, an interactive exhibition about the European Union in the heart of Paris.
Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate for Europe, opened the Campus de l'Engagement alongside Pascal Lamy, coordinator of the Jacques Delors think tank network (Paris, Brussels, Berlin), Thibaut de Saint-Pol, Delegate for Youth, Popular Education and Associative Life, Quentin Jagorel, DG of the Institut de l'Engagement, Jessica Larsson, Deputy Head of the European Commission Representation in France, Head of the Policy Sector and Laila Wold, Head of Communications at the European Parliament Representation in France and Head of Europa Expérience.
To deepen the discussion, Quentin Jagorel led a round table on the theme of "What place for the commitment of young people in the European PPP project, yesterday, today and tomorrow?" with Pascal Lamy, former European Commissioner, Aurélie Lapidus, former adviser to the Prime Minister on European affairs and deputy SGAE, and Béatrice Angrand, former Secretary General of the Franco-German Office for Youth (OFAJ).
To take things even further, the winners took part in two workshops:
- What does Europe mean to you and do you feel European?
- What would you like Europe to do for young people and what could you do for it?
It was a rich and constructive moment of sharing.
